AeroSense-WS70

High-range propeller wind sensor (0-70 m/s) with stainless-steel shaft for harsh meteorological and offshore monitoring.

AeroSense-WS70 is the high-range variant of the AeroSense propeller wind series. It pairs a stainless-steel wind-speed shaft with the same UV- and oxidation-resistant AAS plastic body, delivering ±3° wind-direction accuracy in demanding outdoor environments.

Propeller Design

Aerodynamic propeller and tail wing for fast wind speed and direction response.

Marine Grade

UV- and oxidation-resistant AAS plastic body resists yellowing and fatigue.

Standard Protocols

RS485 with NMEA-0183 by default; analog, Modbus RTU, CAN, SDI-12 optional.

Wide Configurability

Mode signal, NMEA, ASCII (Vaisala compatible), CAN (ASCII) options available.

Long Service Life

Engineered for 50 million revolutions of continuous service.

Easy Mounting

Standard sleeve flange or pole mounting for stations, masts, and buoys.

Overview

AeroSense-WS70 is the high-range model of the AeroSense-WS propeller wind sensor family, intended for marine, wind-power, and other applications where wind speeds can reach up to 70 m/s. The mechanical assembly mirrors the AeroSense-WS60 but uses a stainless-steel wind-speed shaft for additional durability.

The sensor retains the AAS plastic body with strong UV and oxidation resistance, and is widely used in ocean monitoring, transportation meteorology, agricultural and forestry meteorology, polar stations, photovoltaic sites, and wind-power generation plants.
