Overview

WaveSense-R is a non-contact wave-measurement system designed for continuous operation in harsh marine environments. It uses radar waves to measure the distance to the sea surface and applies real-time wave-processing algorithms to output characteristic wave and tide values.

Because the sensing element remains above the water surface, WaveSense-R is well suited to exposed fixed platforms, buoys, and coastal installations where reduced fouling and lower mechanical wear are important operational advantages.
